Angela Griffin, a resident of Chatham, retired as President and CEO of Coles Together, the economic development organization for Coles County in 2023. As President of the organization, she was charged with industrial development, marketing, business recruitment and business retention. 

​Griffin has a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Springfield (formerly Sangamon State University) and spent 30 working in business and economic development, including working for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity before joining Coles Together in 2004. At DCEO Griffin held various positions including Statewide Corporate Site Location Project Manager, Assistant to the Director, and Assistant Manager of the Government Relations Office. 

​Since retirement she has become active in the Democratic party, volunteering for campaigns and candidates ,and as precinct committee person for her community.
