Kenny Crowe

Christian County Board - District 4

Kenneth Crowe is a candidate for Sangamon County Board in District 4. He was born in Springfield, Illinois but has lived in Pana his whole life. He is the son of a single mother and was raised in a small, close family. As he grew up, his family slowly left and passed away. He considers himself the last man standing: several relatives, no family. A local blue-collar factory worker who works as a night-shift supervisor, Kenneth, took care of his aging mother until she passed and has now settled into the local community he has known all his life.

He started noticing the need for communal support and change in 2016 and began activism work shortly thereafter. He supports equal rights for all people. Kenneth is a progressive thinker who sees the long-term impact of our choices and how they may affect our communities. With his roots firmly planted and a deep love for Christian County, Kenneth answered the call 2 years ago to run for County Board District 4. He did not win, but he gained a great deal of experience and made friends all over the district.

Kenneth feels the work still needs to be done, so he has decided to run again to continue getting the message out to the district that we need a better long-term vision for our community. His message of infrastructure reform, industry development, educational support, and economic and communal growth has sparked discussion about the direction the county should take. Kenneth wants to leave Christian County a better place for the future. He looks forward to meeting fantastic people in the district and learning about the community's concerns so that, if elected, he will be ready to represent the people accurately and honorably.
